Would you also like to experience the joy of sailing a luxury clipper on the IJsselmeer, the Dutch Wadden shallows and the North Sea islands, visiting historic Dutch
and Frisian towns along the way.

You can join us on short one day trips, weekend trips and longer voyages to suit the guest.
We can accomodate up to 50 people for day trips, and a maximum of
29 people in 12 seperate cabins for longer voyages.

Sailing experience is not required, all we ask for is enthousiasm and a willing to participate.
The experienced crew is there to assist you sail
the ship yourself.

       This beautiful, classic ship is ideal to rent for family holidays with
       a difference, perfect for business team building trips, a barge
       cruise vacation, or just taking a group of friends on an
       unforgettable sail voyage. 

       Home port of the Kiekendief is Flevo Marina in Lelystad,
       but leaving from Amsterdam is also possible.

      The Kiekendief is a traditional Dutch river barge, a sailing
      vessel, built in 1895 by Duyvendijk in Lekkerkerk. She was
      refitted as a charter ship in 1991 and is now a luxurious hotel
      barge, to provide the guests with the utmost comfort,
      personelly run by owner André van den Berg.
     
      All of the 12 cabins (9 two person, 1 three person and
      2 four person cabins) come complete with central heating,
      hot and cold taps, and 230 v power outlet. 
      On board you will also find 6 toilets and 6 hot showers.
      The ships interior is spacious and comfortable complete
      with modern kitchen.
